Represent your town on holiday this summer with this Whitley Bay T-shirt.
Whitley Bay was until recent times the centrepiece of the glorious Northern Riviera. Originally built in Spain, the entire city was transported brick by brick to England in the late 1600s by the sinister pioneer Captain Huxtable Rasherquiffs as a present for his dead housekeeper Siobhan Watts. After his death two years later from a bastard gout, the put-upon townsfolk were finally allowed out during the daylight hours. Inspired by their new found freedom, they celebrated with a house party which lasted 321 years and attracted visitors from all over the world, until neighbouring town Tynemouth attached itself to the coast in the early nineties and started tempting people away with more expensive versions of the same thing.
